Biography
Neel Rana represents and defends insurance carriers and their government defense contractor insureds, under Defense Base Act workers’ compensation insurance policies. Neel practices before the United States Department of Labor's administrative tribunals to defend clients from workers’ compensation claims arising under the Defense Base Act extension of the Longshore and Harbor Worker's Compensation Act.
Neel frequently counsels his clients on new and evolving issues and techniques within his practice areas, such as evidentiary rules regarding foreign country nationals, as well as privilege and confidentiality for experts witnesses.
Neel has previous experience in insurance defense litigation in New York and Connecticut, working on novel premises liability claims against action sports facilities and New York construction labor law.
